Postdoctoral Associate in Genetic Epidemiology, Yale School of Public Health

One postdoctoral associate position is available in the DeWan lab to study the genetic epidemiology of complex traits, including asthma, adiposity, type 2 diabetes, blood pressure, Alzheimer’s disease, and childhood cancers among others.  A major focus of the lab is studying the genetic correlations of these complex traits including the identification and dissection of pleiotropic loci. This position seeks an individual with a strong computational background to design novel approaches for analyzing high-throughput genetic data from a number of existing studies.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. in either genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, human genetics, biostatistics, computational biology, or a closely related discipline.  Computer programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python/Perl, R) and relevant data analysis skills are requirements for the position.  Please email a cover letter including a statement of research interests, a CV, and contact information (name with position title, phone, and email address) for three references to [email protected].

U.S. citizens or permanent residents, individuals of diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds and cultures, are all encouraged to apply.
