Postdoctoral Fellowship in Statistical Genomics & Genetics

The Bioinformatics Lab of McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas solicits applications for postdoctoral fellowship in statistical genomics, genetics, and computational biology.

We seek highly motivated individuals with strong problem-solving skills to develop, implement and apply innovative approaches for analyzing high throughput genetic and genomic data. Multiple project directions are available in statistical genetics (such as genetic epidemiology study in diverse, multi-ancestry datasets using genome-wide sequencing data, gene- environment interaction, meta-analysis) and genomics (such as single-cell omics analysis, multi- omics data integration, network analysis).

The training activities of this position will include data management, analysis, development and/or implementation of novel analytical approaches and bioinformatics tools for data analysis, implementation of pipelines, interpretation and presentation of analysis results, and writing manuscripts.

Candidates with Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or biology with advanced sequencing data analysis skills are encouraged to apply.
